Review of Red Is the Color of (2007) by Mark A — 05 Sep 2010
It must be strange to see the world through the eyes of a painter. The central character is Mary, who paints in her own blood. Her husband's model plays at seducing them both, individually, ostensibly for her own pleasure but it really seems like she just wants control.
Mary has a fan club of sorts, the Bloody Marys, whose head Fran is a disturbed woman. There was something compelling about this movie, although you won't be missing anything if you skip it. If you like this kind of drama - no action or comedy - give it a try.
