Review of Red Eye (2005) by Sgt. C — 25 Nov 2014
(54%).
Wes Craven a film maker who only knows how to make either good movies (a nightmare in Elm street, the hills have eyes) or really quite terrible movies (the scream series. the hills have eyes 2). While this lands safely in the good section of the pile. And even though it isn't that well made or written, and it is hugely Hollywood at times with its outrageous plot, it's still a movie that passes more of its goals than it fails. The good cast is more than capable, it is entertaining, and the pacing never drags once during the swift run time. To properly enjoy this it needs not to be taken too seriously, as it is more or less just an airline based thrill-ride B-movie, and in that sense this is a pretty decent little time passer.
