(2012) Red Dawn.
ACTION ADVENTURE.
Jed (Chris Hemsworth) a marine on leave after watching his younger brother's football team losing to a visiting team. On the very next day, the North Korean army then invade the small town after conveniently losing all electrical power. Jed led his small group of teens to fight against them naming themselves the "Woverines" after the North Korean gov't is asking them to join up onto their cause.
If anyone were to look at the customs of the North Korean army would know that the way this film portray them is absurd, just like how my dad told me that Russians don't fly their helicopters too low. I mean, since when did old customary North Korea started to know something about operating computers since as of right now they have a hard time conserving whatever resources they have such as electricity and food. In the original "Red Dawn" movie, it's the school that's taken hostage, in this one it's the whole town where they don't even lock everyone up- they just try to use old style and don't work manipulation. And then some rebelled by acting like terrorists by planting automatic explosive devices. I was somewhat into his film, until the stupidity regarding one of the characters who chose to save his so-called girlfriend. This film also has some inconsistencies such as if a planting beeper was implanted this student before, how come it wasn't used until much later into the film. and if any of the soldiers of the North Korean army were killed, they would've killed some of the local residents which is peculiar why the army didn't do that. theirs some nice action set pieces but hard movie to accept if they're that many inconsistencies.
2 out of 4 stars.
