Review of Red Dawn (1984) by Sam C — 06 Dec 2011
Red Dawn is a great realistic fiction war movie that I find very under rated. Red Dawn is about A group of high school students who are just having a normal day until Russian and Cuban forces start to invade the U.
S. Now the kids escape and decide to fight back against these enemy forces. One thing I don't understand is how this movie got as much negative reviews as it did because I found this movie quite entertaining.
The story of this movie was really good to me because I like how for once we get invaded and see what its like to fight on our own territory. I also really like how these teenagers decide to fight back unlike many teens would in this situation.
Another thing that works great in this movie is that it has non stop action that never fails to entertain. This movie is also perfect for anyone who likes non stop action because after the first 20 or so minutes its non stop action.
The performance are also great in this movie. Patrick Swayze is great in this movie as the leader of the group and Lea Thompson gives a good performance as Erica who they picked up from this guys house were they get supplies and horses.
Charlie Sheen and the rest of performance are really good in this flick as well. Overall Red Dawn is a great non stop action movie with a good story and good performances.
