I like the remake better! The story of a group of American kids in the 1980's who create and insurgency against the Soviet Union is a watchable story. One sees the effects personally on the Characters, and makes the enemy look human.
Red Dawn shows the human costs of war. Swayze saves the film with a strong acting performance. The remake is better for one can see the mechanics of an invasion, and after effects. A good movie, but the remake is better.
If you are going to watch one or the other watch the remake first. Red Dawn okay film. I give Red Dawn 2 out of 5 stars.
