Review of Red Dawn (1984) by Zack S — 14 Feb 2013

I have to say I enjoyed this a whole lot. This one is pretty topical. Though it does lack a big story, it does feature great performances from all the cast, especially Patrick Swayze (R.I.P.) in particular, and this film also delivers great action sequences. It's a bit dated now, but it's still highly entertaining and lot of fun to watch. Still definitely worth watching today. It definitely deserves its cult classic status. I can see why Hollywood wanted to remake the film and they did.

Fun trivia: this film was the first to receive the PG-13 rating after the rating was first implemented in 1984.
