Review of Red Cliff (2008) by Wicked A — 27 Apr 2010
I haven't seen a better, epic ancient Chinese war movie... ever. The attire was appropriate and amazing, and the cast all fit their parts perfectly. The aerial shots exposed, not only the massive scale of the war, but showed intricate battle formations, enormous fleet of war ships and the interaction with their surroundings.
It was a beautiful film that incorporated culture, environment, politics, strategy, faith, human nature and war. Intense action-war movie buffs may find it a bit slow because it takes the time to show all the multifaceted elements and the fact that itâ??s subtitled may inconvenience some.
