Personally, I enjoy history, and the history of China is even more mysterious and compelling!
Red Cliff is an epic of its own, with large battles, heroic characters, and impressionable cinematography :).
This sensationalist piece about a time of unification by 'warlords' is an interesting piece of China. More interesting is the emphasis on the numerous soldiers slain in Battle over the centuries - absolutely awe-inspiring.
None-the-less, great film, in a 2-part saga :).
