Review of Red Cliff (2008) by E L — 28 Jul 2012
Familiarity with the history and legend would enhance enjoyment at seeing these famous (and infamous) characters brought to life. That said, John Woo delivers on the martial art action, although look elsewhere for any political or military depth.
Not really surprising, considering the weighty subject, even though this concentrates on only one battle.
