My favourite kurosawa film so far. red beard may seem slow compared to kurosawa's other films but it contains a beautiful poignancy. the performance given my mifune is probably his best that i've seen and the young girl he helps is hauntingly beautiful.
a true story of humanity. simply beautiful.
