Review of Rear Window (1954) by Joe R — 15 Dec 2015
100/100 - This is without a doubt Hitchcock's best film. Between quality performances from James Stewart and Grace Kelly, the still amazing production quality, and the way Hitchcock builds suspense, it is completely perfect.
Add on the massive set and entirely on-set sound mixing and editing, and it just goes over the top. It's not a good first Hitchcock film because of its more unique story and direction, but watch it after having seen The Man Who Knew Too Much, To Catch a Thief, and North by Northwest and you won't be disappointed one bit.
