Review of Rear Window (1954) by Ronald W — 18 Jan 2014
I wasn't exactly sure what to rate this movie, this is simply because I feel I've been giving a lot of 5-star ratings. However, I finally decided that it's simply because I only like to watch good movies and rate movies I really enjoyed (although some may debate with my taste of movies). That said, it was surprisingly fantastic! Literally, as the premise of this movie I thought seemed excruciatingly boring.
The main character, Jeff, has an injured leg so must stay indoors for a few weeks. Out of boredom he finds entertainment in observing his neighbors lives. What makes this interesting is that Jeff is in a relationship but is unsure what path he should take in his relationship and each of his neighbors have different aspects of love in them. It's a breath of fresh air for the theme of love, as it is commonly explored in movies, making this exploration unforgettable.
