Before she was "ugly" or wore magical pants, Ms Ferrera made this little gem about body acceptance within the Latino community. Lupe Ontiveros is able to show her range in a moving complex performance as Ana's tradition-oriented mother.
It's great to see her range because unfortunately she is rarely cast as anything other than a maid.
