Review of Real Steel (2011) by Dan B — 27 Dec 2012
A bit on the cheesy side but still very entertaining. Hugh Jackman wasn't the best like he usually is but for a movie like this I wasn't looking for the best acting from anyone. The fights were the best part of the movie, they kept you entertained and the robots had some great animation.
The script could have been a little bit better but I'll take what lines were said. The kid got very annoying after awhile but every kid in a movie gets annoying. The beginning didn't movie very slow, I thought it would since this ran for a good 2 hours.
There were a few scenes that could have been moved a little bit faster. The fight scenes aren't rushed or dragged out at all, they did them right with the right amount of time spend on them. The end was the best of all the fights and didn't have the predictable ending I was expecting.
if you're into fighting movie this is a cool one to check out but don't expect anything perfect. Real Steel has some rusty parts to it but keeps you entertained through out.
