Review of Real Steel (2011) by Buggy B — 01 Dec 2013
I think if I were a 12 year old boy I would have loved this movie, as it was I watched about an hour and decided I'd had enough. Even the well done CGI and Hugh Jackman couldn't save this for me; sappy, clichéd, and overacted in a very Disney sort of way.
Father/Son story about a former boxer turned fight promoter (Jackman) who trains robots after humans are replaced by them in the ring. Jackman also tries to establish a relationship with his estranged son Max while they assemble and train the next robotic champion.
11.13 sci-fi sports drama. - ha, that's what its listed as sci-fi sports drama.
