Val Kilmer before he was 'starring Val Kilmer' was funny.
The best parts of this movie are the kind of dialogue you might expect from Kevin Smith. Instead of the pause for a joke to be laughed at, they're slipped in and the dialogue moves on - and then the humor hits you.
