Review of Real Genius (1985) by Voodoo123 — 23 Oct 2022
The talented cast feel wasted in this 'quirky' comedy that juggles a coming of age teenagers story with a sinister military weapon development programme using hefty bouts of comedic screenplay and large expensive visual set pieces to tell it's story.
Sadly few of the jokes landed for me and the set pieces have aged poorly. Feels like a studio cash cow.
