Martha Coolidge knew she was doing when she directed this movie. It is a 80s classic and not one of those brat pack films. Val Kilmer's performance in this movie was OUTSTANDING and Gabriel Jarrett was absolutely fantastic.
Anyone who doesn't agree with me needs to just get lost!
