Review of Ready Player One (2018) by Andrew W — 11 Apr 2018

I wasn't expecting to be surprised by this movie but boy was I shocked by its technology and story, I know it's not true to the book but Spielberg's variation is pure entertainment!

The CGI laden parts inside Oasis are not overpowering like Avatar was and the 'real world' interactions were done in a manner that made you feel like you were in that dystopian future! For me the the best of this movie was the Easter eggs of other 80's movies hidden throughout the entire movie, it's like Spielberg reached into my 80's memory and took the best parts out!

If you want a pure storytelling experience I don't think this movie is for you but if you want to be entertained and have your memory strings pulled then this will be perfect! There's also plenty of gaming references to keep the younger generation interested but some quotes may go over to heir head!
