Definitely not a great film but a very enjoyable one. My problem with Ready Player One is that it is really entertaining but it is just cake. This film has almost no substance and I just really wanted more to bite into than just cake.
Now, it does work for this film because the characters are good, the action is great, and you're interested in seeing where the movie is going to go. So, overall Ready Player One is a very entertaining film and that's about it.
