Ready Player One has the best CGI that has ever been produced for the big screen, period. Apart from the graphics, the movie does a good job of capturing the essence of the story with ample pop culture references and some nice human elements to make it a lot of fun. But was it the veritable nerdgasm that sucked you into the game/book? Nope.
But all in all, great watch.....
