Review of Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) by Jellyneko — 08 Mar 2021

This was a pretty good movie. There were some pacing issues – this feels like a two-and-a-half-hour movie condensed into 90 minutes. Sisu is also really annoying when she first appears, though that quickly changes.

Aside from that, the film was good. It had a solid world, a compelling character dynamic between Raya and Namaari, and good thematic interplay between setting, characters and plot (although I could totally see it being too overbearing for most people). A solid 8.
