Staid adventure film that never quite springs to life. Given the apparent low budget, the look of the film is great and much of the casting works, although there is little chemistry between the lovers.
But the screenplay is lacking in romance, political finesse and there's little sweeping action, which (in this kind of a film) is just about a prerequisite.
