"Ray" was really more than just movie. It ventured into the heart and soul of one of the most beloved musical artist of our time. The portrayal was fantastic, and Jamie Foxx did an excellent job.

The film simply follows the Life of Ray Robinson, through his musical career, his marriage, the good and bad times, including his addiction to heroin. He is constantly haunted by the thought of his brother's freak accident death. The film seems to be a great portrayal of the actual Ray.

Jamie Foxx was simply brilliant in this movie. He did a fantastic job and he really had me believing he was the actual thing. Kerry Washington and Regina King were also excellent in this film. All of the performances in the movie were phenomenal. The acting was the best thing to come out of this movie.

I felt that the cinematography in this movie was fantastic, although some of the scene transitions seemed a little awkward to me. The colors used in particular scenes were quite brilliant though, and it really effected the overall mood of whatever sequence I was viewing.

The music in the film is without a doubt amazing. Foxx was great, and he sounded just like Ray Charles, even if they used recordings of the real Ray's voice, the wonderful audio sincs lead me to believe otherwise. (Or maybe he actually sang them I'm not sure.) He really did a fantastic job, and that's something that's just very impressive. I commend him a lot for that.

This movie was just filled with so much emotion, and that's what made it so good. I have to be honest though, there was something that bothered me. I was very upset with the ending. I thought it was the most anti-climactic thing I have ever seen. I thought the ending was way too abrupt and it left me wanting more, and that was disappointing to me. Although me being upset over this wasn't enough to tear down the complete goodness that this movie had to offer.

"Ray" was a good movie. Jamie Foxx was fantastic, and his portrayal was without a doubt flawless. The film was brilliant in a lot of ways, and the emotions that were packed into the production of this film are all clearly visible while watching the actual final product. Awesome.
