Review of Ray (2004) by Kashan P — 21 Sep 2014
For a biography, it is quite good. Ray Charles is a man with flesh here. Jamie Foxx's portrayal is excellent (comparable with Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman, perhaps even better) and deserves the Oscar.
But for a drama, its opening part is a little bit slow-paced. For the remaining, it is touching but somehow too similar to "Walk the Line".
