This is a phenomenal film. A period piece set at a small fort in the Sierra Nevada mountains where a small group of people come across a mysterious man who spins tales of cannibalism with his previous party. He then goes ape shit and starts killing and eating people. Terrific! The cast in this film is incredible, especially leads including heavily underrated Robert Carlyle (as the deranged cannibal) and Guy Pierce (the disgraced war "hero" forced to help at the fort). The supporting cast is awesome too as it's comprised of a who's who of people including Principal Rooney himself Jeffrey Jones, as well as Jeremy Davies, Neal McDonough, and a goofy, cracked-out David Arquette (because why the fuck not?).

Anyone who has not seen this movie must see it. Completely original with a decent amount of gore and some humorous moments as well.
