Review of Rashomon (1950) by Jarred L — 26 Feb 2009
Rashomon exemplifies Japanese cinema during the period in which it was made. The narrative stays true to many Japanese sentiments and the acting doesn't tamper with that feeling, even if it is a bit exaggerated at times.
The cinematography was very effectively crafted as well. Classic Akira Kurosawa.
