Akira Kurosawa never did a movie that will make your brain mushy and ready to be slurped by aliens. Of course, this is one of those movies that leave audiences debating what really happened and who's story is "nearest" the truth.
Of course, there is no truth, because no one knows what really happened. It is in the individual to decide and create his own interpretation in this Rorschach test Kurosawa gave us. Amazing movie. One of the best.
