Exquisite, beautiful, poetic, I could probably add a hundred more adjectives to describe this piece of cinematic gold. All the themes this film encompasses include the human soul, morality, perception vs.

reality, truth, justice, mortality, trust, and most likely several more I've left off. This is the first Akira Kurosawa film I've seen (also have Ran on my stack of films right now) and I was almost as impressed as I was with seeing my first Bergman film, which was The Seventh Seal.

This is one film I'd include in a list of "films the way they should be made" without a doubt.
