Looking at this film objectively without bias, this film is one of the most important and influential films of all time. But the problem is that it's difficult to look at this film in that way because of one's exposure to modern day filmmaking.
I would admit that this film is very much ahead of its time in all fathomable terms, and I respect that very much. But this is a classic Influence Vs. Greatness debate. Who wins? Well, that's up to the viewer to decide.
