An innovative arthouse film. Rashomon may be too unique for common moviegoers to handle, but its story of multiple perspectives in the samurai ages is filled with great Japanese-Style acting, cinematography, and narrative structure.

This is arguably the first film to show a story from multiple perspectives. For the time, this was a new and innovative strategy, and even to this day, it's unpredictable plot keeps the audience wondering what really happened and who is to blame for the crime being recalled.

This is perhaps the first foreign film I have watched all the way through, and it is quite a brilliant one.
