Review of Rang De Basanti (2006) by Pooja S — 15 Jun 2008

For the first few times it was watched in my house, I only watched a few scenes, scattered scenes, really, either because a) I was too busy to watch the movie completely, or b) I was just not interested/didn't feel like it.

Finally, I took the time to watch the movie with no distractions and it became my favorite movie eveeeeeer. Patriotic aspect wasn't what made me all "ooooh, nice movie!" It was more of the mirroring between the time of Indian Independence and present-day life.

True, it seemed a bit cheesy at times, but for the most part the inspiration and influence which came from a historical time which the characters received was wonderful. I could say more but...that'd take a while.
