This is a great, poignant movie. Brilliant performances throughout make you care for these characters. whilst being a patriotic film about India, I feel that the themes expressed are universal and relevant to all.
I don't know too much about the rule of the Britsh Empire in India but the scenes set during the early twentieth century are as moving as those in Schindler's List. Definately worth a watch.
