I'd been waiting for ages to see this movie and it was everything I hoped it wouldn't be. Aamir Khan is just getting too old to play up to the cameras as the 'adorable' Jack the Lad, and the slapstick elements to his comedy are getting really dated.
The soundtrack and cinematography were also pretty woeful - ill-fitting music and really clumsy, hammy cuts from one scene to another. This could have been such an atmospheric film, given the subject matter.
Instead, it turned into a showcase for Aamir Khan and a platform for wooden acting and clunky dialogue. Hugely disappointing.
