Review of Ran (1985) by Vijay S — 25 Jul 2008
I watched this out of curiosity to see how Shakespeare was adapted in Japanese cinema, and was blown away.
The setting and characters are so authentic - this movie qualifies as one of the most complete dramas you will ever see (Godfather is another example). This spurred me to watch Throne of Blood, which is a Kurosawa adaptation of Macbeth, which was well made as well.
