Review of Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) by Kj52_Number1_Fan — 18 Sep 2008
This movie is an odd mix. It's over the top and violent yet it clearly has a political message. As with the first one, Stallone and Crenna carry the obscenly ridiculous situations to somewhat believable.
The story isn't nearly as powerful as the original but as far as action and violence goes it does not dissapoint. These Rambo films almost work as reverse slasher movies. See, we all know Jason is the real hero in Friday the 13th movies but what if he was a REAL hero?.
...he'd be Rambo! This film ahs some good stuff and alot of so bad it's good stuff...its a good entertainment and really that's what it is supposed to be.
