Review of Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) by Zachary L — 08 Jun 2011
The first sequel to the very good First Blood movie, well it is not the best nor is it the worse. In the 80s action movies was a big thing, heres some examples Commando,Terminator,Die Hard. And since that First Blood was a sucess, they had to make a sequel to it.
The plot is that Rambo is in jail (or a type of jail)because of the events from the first film, his former Colonel comes and makes an offer to Rambo. He says if he comes to Vietnam and searches for American POWS he will be set free.
Rambo says yes, and he flys to Vietnam and then meets Marshal Murdock (He even looks similar to the Sheriff from the first film). He then flys out to the camp site, and he finds a handfull of POWS, he grabs one and kills several bad guys. Murdock and his men betray Rambo and leaves him there.
After being captured Rambo breaks out with the help of a woman (and love intrest). She then gets shot and dies. Very mad and betrayed Rambo kills alot of badguys using guerilla warfare tactics and a hellicoptor. He rescues the POWS and kills the main Russian badguy. And flies to the camp site where Murdock is. He then shoots up Murdocks station and scares the crap out of Murdock. He then talks to his commander and then walks off into the distance.
Well thats the plot,I think talked a little bit to much though.
I know the plot sounds good, but it's un-original and just plain stupid. But the action is the best thing about it. 60%.
