Review of Raising Cain (1992) by Joel R — 20 Feb 2010
If only John Lithgow would have played more nuttos in his career because nobody does it better than this man. Recently he did a stint on DEXTER, a show I never heard of but watched it just to see the man at work and of course he didn't disappoint.
The first time we see the Great Lithgow is fucking naked in a bathtub with a dead broad for fucks sake, the show itself wasn't bad either. I'm a big supporter of his and will watch terrible films just to see him fucking rule the day, Ricochet with Denzel Washington (a terrible boring actor) has vintage crazy Lithgow and that awful Cliffhanger with Stallone only registers as a watchable film BECAUSE of Herr Lithgow.
Raising Cain, you get DePalma doing a parody of his thing with sorta sorta decent stuff a going on but ONCE AGAIN John Motherfucking Lithgow steals the fucking show. Not only one Lithgow, you get multiple Lithgows.
Even as a woman! Decent flick in general, nothing particularly mindblowing but the motherfucker delivers another fab performance.
