After watching this movie a countless amount of times, I finally see the classic Coen Bros. formula of one man struggling with the ability to choose between right and wrong. Ray from "Blood Simple", Tom Reagan, Llewelyn Moss, and of course, H.
I. McDunnough. H.I. is truly an everyman that simply cannot seem to get away from his original purpose in life: robbing convenience stores. "...the sun doesn't rise and set on the corner grocery.
