Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Jake D — 03 Aug 2011
To start things off I laughed a lot through out this movie.
It's pretty weird, and at times I honestly was a bit thrown off as to what was happening, but than something hilarious happens, and you get sucked right back in again.
Nicolas Cage is H.I.McDunnough, a man who has been arrested for "armed" robbery more times than I've been to church. He falls in love with Ed a female police photographer (Ed is short for Edwina). They find out Ed is barren and cannot have kids so they decide to steal a baby from a couple with quintuplets, and from that point on the movie spirals into some very weir territory, and boy does it not dissapoint.
All the performances were great, and the Coehn Brothers show why they would later go onto win a countless awards for their work.
A brilliant movie I hope you check it out.
