Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Ben D — 15 Apr 2014
The Coen Brothers second film about a couple kidnapping one of a tycoon's recently born quintuplets is bizarre and hilarious. The movie is well cast, with Cage giving one of his better performances (I tend to not be a fan on the whole), and Holly Hunter is fantastic.
It also does a nice job of upping the ridiculous ante with things like Leonard Smalls and Goodman and Forthyse as the two escaped prisoners. In my opinion, it is a classic comedy from Coens, a real classic.
