Review of Raining Stones (1993) by Ashley B — 13 Jun 2006
I don't know why I expect British movies to be so good when, in general, they are usually disappointing in some small way. Oh for sure, I can point to a few that I enjoyed such as "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" or that one with Brad Pitt (can't remember the name) or even the odd art house flick. But it seems I always have to take them with the caveat "it's British"..

So, this movie started out as a comedy and ended as a drama. Or was it a comedic drama? Not sure. In any case, it was mildly interesting throughout and it gets a tomatoe for that. There were a few scenes that were really quite good but overall the plot was a bit ho-hum..
