Review of Rain Man (1988) by Emmanueledwin — 04 Jun 2013
This film is one of the most emotional provoking films I have ever seen and it succeeds provocation. Rain Man is evidence that there are no boundaries of a handicapped heart proving the unconditional power of love, family and friendship.
Dustin Hoffman provides a virtuoso performance of a autistic savant named Raymond Babbit and is worthy of the Academy Award for Best Actor. Tom Cruise also boasts a powerful performance as Charlie Babbit, brother of Raymond Babbit, and is a shame that the then promising actor was hardly honoured for his role.
