Dustin Hoffman deserved his Oscar win. He plays the role of Raymond Babbit so well it's hard not to give him the award. Tom Cruise is also great in this film. Aside from great acting, Rain Man is really an wonderful film, with incredible direction by Barry Levinson, and a great screenplay.
