Review of Rain Man (1988) by Simon O — 10 Jun 2012
Rain Man as Raymond does, grows on you as you watch more of the movie. Dustin Hoffman came off as extremely annoying to me the way he was trying to portray this autistic person. But as time went on his feelings and emotions started to come out .
He gave me a better idea of the kind of person Raymond was towards the middle and end of the story. Tom Cruise is fine as usual. It wasn't really a hard part for him to play. It is Dustin Hoffman who really steals the show with his performance.
I thought Rain Man was going to be a comedy going in, but in essence it felt so much more like a drama. Rain Man is definitely a something to watch when you have the spare time.
