This movie showed us Tom Cruise was more than just a pretty face that could play in action films,and reminded us that few are better actors than Dustin Hoffman. The absolute superb cinematography and brilliant direction of Barry Levinson to go with a fantastic script gives us the best movie of 1988.
Every year it seems Hollywood gives us a film that for reasons good or bad will be forever remembered. This is that film for 1988. Rain man is one of the most beloved films of all time at this point 30 plus years later.
It's one of those films that no matter how many times you've seen it, whenever it's on you stop and watch it.
