Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Benjamin N — 03 Dec 2011
Martin Scorsese's 'Raging Bull' is not a film about boxing, but about the sadness, grief, and breakdown of one man. Scorsese's direction is pitch-perfect with engaging cinematography, and the black/white shooting makes this film even more better.
A great cast give excellent performances, but Robert De Niro stands out the most out of them. He is simply phenomenal and gives one of the best performances in cinema history. This is one of the best films of all-time and represents Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro at their near breaking point.
