Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Aidan D — 30 Dec 2017
The kind of in-your-face realism that Scorsese and De Niro present to us in this film is only part of what made this film an instant classic. De Niro's stunning performance boosts this film's quality even more, and the fabulous music and editing make it a piece of art.
Not to mention the increased intensity due to the black and white. But if you like romances and prefer movies that present the characters as lovable, this movie isn't for you. You may never find yourself sympathizing with any of the characters throughout the flick.
But otherwise, this is a must-see.
