Amazing film from start to finish! De Nero's portrayal of La Matta is breathtakingly surreal, and powerful! Have no idea how this film didn't win best picture! Without question one of Scorsese's best films.
How did he not get an Oscar for this? mind blowing! 1980 he gets beat out by first time director/actor (Redford) 1990 he gets beat out by first time director/actor (Costner) Horrible!
