Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Ryan N — 04 Nov 2012
Raging Bull is the beautifully shot tragic tale of Jake LaMotta, a middleweight champion boxer. The film serves as a character study on LaMotta, and features great performances from De Niro, Cathy Moriarty and then newcomer Joe Pesci, great direction from Scorsese and a phenomenal script from Paul Schrader.
While somewhat overrated, in my opinion, the film is still great nontheless and a great addition to the Scorsese-De Niro film collection. 8.5/10.
